Home visits are covered by OHIP.
Population Served: Persons 16 years of age and over who live in the Scarborough and need Mental Health services.
Area Served: East York and Scarborough
Additional Information: Mobile Crisis Program: This program is composed of a team of Crisis Intervention workers who work closely with the Regional Crisis Program and offer community based crisis intervention in the clients' home or place of choice. The goal of this program is to maintain clients in their homes versus hospitalization.
Our psychiatrist is also available for community visits for individuals who need to be seen but are unable to attend outpatient appointments.
We also provide short-term follow up to those individuals seen in the community or discharged from hospital until they are linked with an appropriate resource.
